PRINCIPLE 1: Believe
Demystify the hitherto thinking that great inventions, products, technological feats and scientific advancement were made by people who were created differently from you. They were and are still people like you and I. They possessed and possess all the inner and outer attributes like every other person. They do not have more cells in their brain than you and I. They were and are still as much and truly human as we are. So, belief is the starting point. Believe that with the virtues of patience, persistence and consistency, you can leave your footprint in the sand of time.

PRINCIPLE 2: Begin
This is truly the most heroic point. To begin connotes to start. Starting point is always the most fearful point. At this point, one is overwhelmed with the ‘Who Knows’ questions. Who knows this, who knows that. Who knows what lies ahead? Who knows if I’ll succeed or fail? Who knows if I’m destined to do this or not?
Whoever that breaks through this wall of uncertainty is already at the banquets with the nobles. Conquer your fear with faith. Your fears most times are imagery. Fear breaks our wings of soaring up. Break the shell that covers the pearl. A pearl hidden in a shell is no better than a ruined gem.

PRINCIPLE 3: Blueprint
Every good sailor sails the high and low seas with his compass. Every tourist has a location map and tourist guide. A great soldier who wrought victory on the war front has first conquered in his training camp. The business blueprint to an entrepreneur is like the light house to the sailor, pointing him to safe shores. Keep your blueprint handy. Let it come as handiest as your phone can be. Every day, as new inspirations come and as new experiences are acquired, use them to upgrade your blue print but do not alter the basic vision of your conceptualized strategies of business. Your blueprint is like a telescope that points you far to the destination you are heading to. It is your guide and an indispensable guide. PRINCIPLE 4: Basics
Basics here means building from the ground to the top. It is the most fundamental part of a successful entrepreneurship. Do not leave anything to chances or luck. Lucks are in most cases abstract thought of the mind. It’s a myth that a successful entrepreneur must not allow to cloud his operations, his visions, his missions and his expectations. A successful entrepreneur or potentially successful entrepreneur masters every event and changes with high level of sound assessment. He does not dabble into un-assessed risks. His actions are conscientiously targeted at success with less risk. He turns his night a jungle and works when others sleep. He activates his discerning abilities and strategically applies them towards success. He does not neglect the least suggestions, actions and predictions but set them all on constant reviews to ascertain their workability and application at any given time. PRINCIPLE 5: Behavior
If you want to be successful, be influenced by the lives, the styles and the antecedents of the already successful. Do not only watch them, try to improve on where they already are. Try to decode those virtues and strategies they mystified their lives and operations around. Behave as if you have arrived. Let your general outlook and charisma showcase positivity. Give clues and keep people in suspense on your abilities. This way they will seek and rely on you as if your advices and contributions are indispensable. Join organisations, associations, professional bodies they belong to. Socialize. Do not allow your voice to fade on issues that relate to your field. Press for recognition since success is about branding. Brand yourself, your services and goods as if they are flawlessly made ‘in heaven’. Success is contagious. So, dig in to know how the successful do their thing.

PRINCIPLE 6: Boldness:
Boldness is the opposite of fear. Fear breeds timidity and timidity earns a man a place at lowly feast of never-do-well men. A platinum pointer and a goal-getter entrepreneur uses his fears as stepping stone to new discoveries. His fears are hidden opportunities at best as beautiful gems and pearls are hidden in thick shells. In every man and woman who treads this earth path, there is a pearl hidden behind the shells of doubt, lack of confidence and fear. Victory over fear is Victory over failure’. Every successful entrepreneur masters the virtue of boldness and thinks with bold intensity, sees from bold perspective and strikes with the bold sceptre. His steps are bold and his courage untamed. Therefore, don’t fear to make attempt on what you could create. Do not fear to fail. Every failure is a new beginning point. So mount the wild bull and ride!

Banks are friends to those who have exceptional business ideas, strategies, inventions and innovations that have high potentials of profitability. Why not? Banks are the honeycomb that an entrepreneur who knows his onus sips from. I once approached my bank for funding of import of particular goods at a time. I thought with my friendship with them, that I would have the fund as easy as I’d expected. No? Banks’ money is not for free when the application points to high risk. They turned down my request on the basis that it was a product that has high level of competitiveness and risk-laden. I whined. Along the line, a friend told me about the huge opportunities in sand dredging within a particular location. I put up application for facility with my bank. Within weeks, they have done their in-house viability study and soon, they availed the fund.

PRINCIPLE 8: Build:
Yes, Build! Build strong team. Build strong customer base. Build perennial products and services that stand the test of time. Build a mutually beneficial business platform where all stake-holders thrive. In ensuring stability in one’s business, team work has become the wheel of progress for any successful entrepreneurship. Build your team strong. Let them be part of the success story. This way they are co-creators of a successful empire. However, in building a team that will in turn build strong saleable products and services, caution should be taken so as not to practice the vice of ‘use and dump’. The implication is that every team member knows the nitty-gritty of the business. He knows the strength and potential weakness of the business such that if he or she feels detached from the concept, objective and mission of the business, he becomes a danger to its success anyhow.

PRINCIPLE 9: Bonanza and Bonuses:
What could compel a constant customer loyalty to one’s goods and services? What could as well make a staff and team member of any enterprises to be so committed to the vision and mission of a business as though his life depends on it? Bonanzas and Bonuses! They are the magnetic bond that entwines business owners with their customers and team. Nothing works better than rewarding loyalty and commitment. Even free gifts are not truly free. Yes, they have a way they pay for the gifts they receive. The improved commitment to assignments is the reward for the bonuses a staff or team member receives and constant patronage and subtle advertisements of the company’s products and services by a customer is the reward an entrepreneur receives from his consumers who have benefitted from the Bonanzas. ‘As a man thinketh, so he is’. ‘As a man worketh, so he becomes’, is a popular scriptural saying. The world has a way it functions. It gives you back what you give it. Having believed, begun, then becoming is as certain as the sun rises on the sky and rain heals the drought. You can become everything you want to become. You can choose to place yourselves among the great. It is all in you. YOU CAN IF YOU DESIRE. YOU BECOME IF YOU BELIEVE AND BEGIN.
